AirAsia Philippines takes Ube to the skies as Santan launches its all-new ASEAN-inspired in-flight menu

The World’s Best Low-Cost Airline is bringing the Ube craze to new heights as AirAsia’s Santan comes out with its new menu featuring ASEAN flavors, bringing one of the Philippines’ most iconic flavors onboard.

Santan introduces an inflight Ube Coconut milk drink inspired by the earthy-sweet Filipino root crop. Blended with creamy coconut milk and made with zero added sugar, it delivers a smooth, naturally rich flavor that captures the authentic essence of Ube.

Santan also features the Buko Pandan Milk drink, its own take of a popular Filipino dessert mostly seen in Pinoy family celebrations, often served as a sweet and creamy dessert with “gulaman” (jelly) and shredded coconut.

Santan’s Q2 menu introduces more ASEAN flavors, featuring Thailand’s Thai Basil Chicken, an authentic thai rice dish with stir-fried spiced chicken and fresh basil leaves to give it that signature robust flavor.

Filipino comfort food remains at the heart of the menu, with guest favorites such as JT’s Manukan Chicken Inasal and Beef Tapa with Scrambled Eggs, alongside regional staples including Malaysia’s Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak and Uncle Chin’s Chicken Rice, giving guests a broader selection of familiar Southeast Asian dishes.

For short-haul flights, Santan also expands its selection with thoughtfully curated light bites, including Kaya Butter Toast, Pan de Coco Puff, and Pain au Chocolat, perfect for guests seeking a quick yet satisfying inflight option.

Santan meals are available for pre-booking starting at PHP260, with onboard purchases from PHP280, reinforcing AirAsia’s commitment to accessible, value-driven inflight dining.

With quarterly menu refreshes, Santan continues to elevate in-flight dining experience by bringing trending flavors, regional favorites at affordable prices.
